This project is for the build of a digital LED clock which displays the time in words, rather than numbers. This is achieved using a display matrix of 130 LEDs, which sit behind a 130 character set semi-transparent sheet. The LEDs shall be illuminated such that key words and numbers are illuminated to read out the time.

 

Two character sets are provided.

 

    1. LEDs that are 1cm apart LED array

    2. LEDs that are 0.8 inch apart LED array

 

For LEDs that are to be arranged 1cm apart from each other, use the 100 x 160 character sheet. If you want a bigger display, by placing the LEDs 0.8" apart then use the A4 character sheet.
